Northern West Bank

You can read blogs about the Northern West Bank here.

Palestinians living in the Northern West Bank face a range of issues as a result of the occupation. Many farmers face difficulties obtaining permits to access their own land. Those who do obtain permits often face difficulties crossing checkpoints to access land which has been divided by the Israeli Separation Barrier.

Israeli military incursions and arrest raids are also a particular problem facing those living in the Northern West Bank as well as increasing levels of settler violence and harassment.

Some Palestinians living in the Northern West Bank are also caught in the ‘seam zone’, the land between the internationally accepted ‘Green Line’ (the 1949 armistice line) and the Israeli Separation Barrier which illegally cuts deep into Palestinian land. EAs work alongside a number of Israeli and Palestinian peace groups to monitor and report on the difficulties facing those living between the two, as well as all of the other issues in this region.

EAs serving in the Northern West Bank cover the whole of the Nablus, Tulkarm and Qalqiliya Governorates.
